The Nevada Wolfpack have announced that they will join the Mountain West conference in the latest example of expansion.
The Wolfpack jointed Fresno State as the two most recent teams to join the Mountain West conference.
The league is expected to lose the BYU Cougars, who are planning on becoming an independent school.
The conference is thrilled to land both teams, saying it just got much better by adding Nevada and Fresno State. ( Read More…)

Nevada Wolfpack star forward Luke Babbitt could be taken in the top 10 of next week’s NBA Draft.
Babbitt didn’t garner much attention during the past season, partly because he plays for a mid-major team out West. He is a former McDonald’s All-American, so it’s not like he was an unknown slouch coming out of high school.
He had two very productive seasons at the college level and is projected by some to be an even better fit in the pro’s.
Scouts love Babbitt’s ability to play away from the basket and shoot the ball despite his power forward frame.
